Chennai, Feb 20 (Bureau) A 57-year-old man from Tripura, who later found to be a BangaldeshI National, was arrested when he was about to board a flight to Dubai using fake passport at the Anna International airport here today. Airport sources said the passenger, Rizwan Khan came to Chennai to board an Indigo airlines flight to Dubai with a passport which has Agartala address.
Immigration officials, who grew suspicious and started questioning him to which he gave evasive replies. During immigration clearance it was found that he was having a fake passport and the authorities cancelled his journey. During interrogations, he confessed that he was a Bangladesh national and came to India a few years back via West Bengal and moved to Tripura. He also admitted that he had got the fake Indian passport through agents. The officials arrested him and informed the Q branch police who questioned him to ascertain whether he had any links with any terror outfits before handing him over to the Central Crime Branch for further actions.
