New Delhi, Feb 16 (Agency) Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah on Wednesday inaugurated the newly established office of Deputy Commissioner of Police at Rohini Sector 5. Shah visited the ground floor of the premises and inspected various features including Heroes gallery, Visitor’s Room which is suitably equipped with basic amenities and Public Information System, library which is open for students of colleges and schools as well as police personnel of the district.
The video film of Police Station Kanjhawala, which was declared ‘Best Police Station in Delhi’ was also shown to the Minister and the concept of ‘Grameen Police Sahyog Samiti’ was apprised in which a dedicated effort has been made to establish rapport with the people belonging to rural areas. He also visited the Conference Hall and was briefed about the topography and demographical of the area through a 3D Model. A public interaction programme was also held within the premises where some projects were inaugurated including e-inauguration of seven Delhi Police building projects, e-inauguration of Licensing Smart Card and unveiling of ‘Annual Review Publication.
