Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 11 (FN Representative) Kerala has the lowest percentage of population living in poverty, 0.71%, compared to the national average of 25.01 percent. According to the NITI Aayog’s Multi Dimensional Poverty Index, only 0.71 percent of the population is poor in Kerala against the national average of 25.01 percent. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted that “#KeralaStandsOut since it has the lowest percentage of people living in poverty according to the #NITIAayog’s Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index.
