New Delhi, Feb 9 (FN Agency) BJP MP and former West Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday said the General Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was a visionary one, as he also launched an attack at the West Bengal government. Participating in a debate on Budget, Ghosh said, “This budget has a road map for the next 25 years. It is an inclusive budget which will bring the economy back on track”. The BJP leader said the Covid-19 pandemic has left a “bad taste”, and that is why people are not able to see the good work done by government.
He also slammed the West Bengal government and said they felt removing the Governor from the state would solve all problems. “It has become a fashion to slam the union government,” he said. He said BJP workers were being attacked in the state, and added, “You burst crackers in Diwali, here it happens every day. People live in fear in West Bengal,” he said. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya also lauded the Budget, and said, “Though the country got independence in 1947, economic independence came only in 2014”. He also blamed socialism for India’s economic problems. JD-U MP Mahabali Singh meanwhile demanded a special status for Bihar. “As long as Bihar is not developed, India won’t develop. It is important to give Bihar a backward state status,” he said.
