Islamabad, Feb 4 (Bureau) The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) on Friday claimed that it had killed nearly 170 Pakistani soldiers in two different attacks in Balochistan. The BLA said it targeted the Panjgur area’s Frontier Corps camp on Wednesday, which it claimed was even now under its control. “Fidayees of Majeed Brigade targeted (the) camp in Panjgur and took it under their control. Now at 2 am on February 4, the enemy camp still remains under the strong control of the fidayees,” it said in a brief statement. The BLA claimed that its guerrillas killed 70 soldiers of the Pakistan Army.
“The fidayees continue to engage with Pakistani SSG commandos and every time repulse their movements while inflicting losses on them,” it said. The BLA also accused the Pakistan Army of kidnapping and killing the civilians of Panjgur. Earlier, another unit of the Majeed Brigade targeted and occupied the military headquarters in Nushki for 20 hours, killing around 100 enemy personnel including officers. “The mission was carried out by nine fidayees of the Majeed Brigade,” the statement read. The BLA accused the “badly defeated enemy” of abducting and killing innocent civilians in Panjgur. Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid on Thursday said that seven soldiers and 13 insurgents were killed in twin terrorist attacks on Frontier Corps bases in Panjgur and Naushki areas in Balochistan.
