New Delhi, Jan 31 (FN Agency) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday hoped the House will function smoothly in the Budget session of Parliament, with the cooperation of all parties and government. Speaker Birla held a meeting of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) of Lok Sabha which was attended by floor leaders of different parties from the House. Talking to media after the meeting, he said all parties assured cooperation in the session.
“All parties have assured cooperation in running the House,” Birla said after the meeting in which the agenda of work for the House was finalised. Birla hoped there would be extensive discussions on the President’s speech, and other issues pertaining to the citizens. Budget session of Parliament started Monday. The first half of the session will conclude on February 11. Second half of the session will start March 13 and conclude on April 8.
