Aurangabad, Jan 16 (FN Agency) Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad on Saturday said a major economic reform program is underway under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr Karad was speaking on the occasion of his felicitation on behalf of the villagers at Chowka in Aurangabad district. He said many schemes have been launched by the Central Government for the welfare of farmers. Whether it is PM Sanman Yojana or Pik Bima Yojana, the state government of Maharashtra has not given any share of money or grant of crop insurance scheme. Therefore, farmers are facing difficulties in getting insurance. I will also hold a meeting in Aurangabad for the housing scheme at Chowka and will try to find out how the housing scheme will be available to the citizens here. Farmers should take advantage of Kisan Credit, more than one and a half lakh unsecured loans are given.
He said there is a shortage of at least 650 banks in Marathwada so the number of bank branches in Marathwada will increase in the near future. Former state Assembly Speaker and current MLA Haribhau Bagde, Zilla Parishad Women and Child Welfare Committee Chairman Anuradhatai Chavan, Phulambri Taluka Chairman Shriram Shelke, District Bank Vice Chairman Damuanna Navpute, Aurangabad Market Committee Chairman Radhakisan Pathade along with all the Gram Panchayat members were present.
