New York, Jan 11 (Agency) Meta Platforms Inc. which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp has postponed its plans until late March to fully reopen its offices in the US in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases. According to a report published in The Wall Street Journal, the technology giant had planned to reopen its offices in late January this year.
The company also said the employees need to take Covid-19 booster shots to be able to work from its US campuses. “Boosters provide increased protection … Given the evidence of booster effectiveness, we are expanding our vaccination requirement to include boosters,” the report quoted a Meta spokesman as saying. It is almost two years that the employees of Meta and similar companies are working remotely.
