New Delhi, Dec 27 (Agency) The Delhi police claims to have solved a daylight dacoity case in Sadar Bazar area with the arrest of four robbers. According to police, on December 17, four men forcibly entered the premises of a Metal Store shop at Nawab Road, Sadar Bazar. They whipped out weapons and robbed Rs 26 lakh after inflicting injury to the complainant Pawan Pachori, who works in the shop and fled away with the cash. A case under sections 394/397/34 IPC and 27 Arms Act was registered in Sadar Bazar police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sagar Singh Kalsi, said the police collected more than 300 CCTV footages and analyzed them. During the investigation it came to light that a total of 7 criminals were involved in the commission of the dacoity.
Four accused entered the complainant’s shop, while two persons were keeping watch outside the shop and one accused had left the spot after identifying the victim’s shop. The CCTV footage was matched with technical investigation. Previous records were searched to look for the accused with similar modus operandi. The team gathered information and conducted several raids in Delhi and NCR, said Kalsi. Kalsi said two of the accused identified as Arman Qureshi alias Chintu (31) and Kuldeep alias Rinku (37) were arrested on December 21. During further investigation, other two associates identified as Hassan Nawaz alias Raja (26) and Warish alias Munna (18), were arrested on December 22. Kalsi said that during interrogation, it was disclosed that one accused, who has a history of involvement in 28 criminal cases, is the kingpin and main conspirator, who hatched the criminal conspiracy. He along with his associates robbed the cash from the shop of the complainant. It further disclosed that after commission of crime, they distributed the robbed amount in the house of Kuldeep. Raids were being conducted to nab remaining co-accused and to affect recovery of remaining case property.
