Hyundai Motors signs MoU with 4 women cricketers as brand ambassadors

New Delhi, Dec 15 (FN Agency) Moving beyond mobility and bowling over Indians with their products on the road, Hyundai Motor India laid out a new pitch for some proactive batting for empowerment of women cricketers with a one-year association with four Indian women players as brand ambassadors under ‘the drive within’ campaign. The contract is aimed at highlighting their contribution to Indian cricket and creating a strong pitch for the sports women as role model for the entire nation. “The nation is celebrating the spirit of Indian women cricketers setting new benchmarks and inspiring millions with grit and determination that pushes them to break boundaries,” said Seon Seob Kim, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HMIL who signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodrigues, Taniya Bhatia and Shafali Verma for taking the Hyundai spirit forward and enabling women youth power.

The MoU also reinforces the company’s image as a young and progressive brand highlighting winning stories of these women cricketers through digital films under ‘the drive within’ campaign. Tarun Garg, Director Sales & Marketing told UNI that the MoU was “a very logical step with Indian sportswomen making India proud with their achievements and also in line with the aim of taking Hyundai beyond technology, innovation, sustainability and doing something which inspires young women in sports who have worked hard to come this far”. Garg pointed out that the company has entered into a proper contract with these important women cricketers ahead of the calendar year 2022. “This is a very significant year for women’s cricket with ICC ODI, T20 and the Commonwealth Games. We have been partnering with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as associate sponsor for all international matches at home. This initiative will also appeal to the youth and young millennials who will connect more with Hyundai,” said Garg.
