Mumbai, Dec 15 (Agency) The BSE Sensex remained negative for the third consecutive session on Wednesday as it dropped 254 points at 57,862.25 in the opening session, as selling was seen in Energy, FMCG, Finance and Health Care stocks. The Nifty too fell by 64.25 points at 17,260.65. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 58,218.25 and 5777.48 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,351.20 and 17,227.35 points respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.01 per cent and Small Cap by 0.16 per cent. In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined. The losers were Bajaj Finance by 1.52 per cent to Rs 6961.35, TCS by 1.37 per cent to Rs 3573.05, Tech Mahindra by 1.32 per cent to Rs 1621.45, Infosys by 1.21 per cent to Rs 1731 and HCL Technology by 1.18 per cent to Rs 1148. The gainers were NTPC by 1.29 per cent to Rs 127.80, M& M by 0.98 per cent to Rs 843, Kotak Bank by 0.92 per cent to Rs 1857.35 and Tata Steel by 0.54 per cent to Rs 1173.30.
