Umraha, Dec 14 (FN Agency) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon farmers to make natural farming a mass movement by promoting bio-fuel energy for saving the environment. He was speaking at the 98th annual function of Vihangam Yoga at Swarved Mahamandir at Umraha on Varanasi-Ghazipur highway here on the second day of his visit to the city on Tuesday. The three day function is also being observed to mark the centenary year of ‘jail yatra’ of Sadguru Sadafal Dev, who was also a great freedom fighter as well as a scholar who worked hard for reviving the ancient knowledge of Vihangam Yog across the world.
“The government is not only giving thrust on increasing the milk production in the country but also promoting the proper utilisation of cow dung in making bio gas so that instead of using chemical fertilizer, organic farming can be promoted across the nation,” he said, informing that on December 16 a big conference on zero budget natural farming is going to be held and appealed to all the farmers to take advantage so that the natural farming can become a mass movement for welfare of all. “It is the land of Sadguru so that the people should take pledge from this place to work in this direction,” he said, calling upon all the people to take three resolutions that they would promote girl education, work for skill development and save every natural water resource including the river Ganga by keeping them clean.
Just a day ago, after inaugurating Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Modi had sought the support of the people on three pledges of cleanliness, innovation and self-reliance. According to him, since the ancient time, our scholars gave various spiritual paths of knowledge for making the life easy and disciplined. “These important spiritual paths of knowledge were not given the proper place in the history,” he said, praising the great work of seers like Sadguru Sadafal for helping the new generation know about the lost gyan (knowledge) like Vihangam Yog. “The development is the need of the time and Kashi has shown the world how by maintaining its ancient original character, it has marched towards all round development,” he said. “For promoting tourism, we are giving a new look to various important places and even after 2013 tragedy, Kedarnath has been given a new shape by making the travel there easy,” he said, adding that during the freedom movement the call of Swadeshi was given and similarly, we have stated making our efforts towards self-reliance so that our local products can become popular globally.
Earlier, after reaching Umraha, the PM went through under-construction Swardved Mahamandir which would become world’s biggest meditation centre when its construction is completed. This seven-storey grand centre is housed in sprawling campus of 68,000 square feet and its height is about 180 feet. At a time, 20,000 people can take meditation sitting at the ground floor. After reaching there, along with Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the PM offered floral tributes to Sadguru Sadafal. While addressing the function, Yogi praised the PM for popularizing Yoga across the world and gave him credit for declaration of June 21 as International Day for Yoga.
