New Delhi, Nov 21 (FN Agency) The Samyukt Kishan Morcha (SKM) will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the farmers’ long-standing demands, a member of a Farmer Union said here on Sunday. SKM held a marathon meeting at Singhu Border with representatives of farmer unions to discuss the further course of action with regard to the ongoing protest, including a mahapanchayat that will be organised in Lucknow on Monday and a proposed tractor march to Parliament.
SKM has also decided to hold another round of meeting on November 27 to discuss several issues with the representatives of farmer unions. Several farmer leaders want to continue the ongoing agitation, despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to repeal the three farm laws. They said their long-standing demands should be addressed and resolved as early as possible and also demanded enacting a law to ensure minimum support price (MSP) and withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill.
