CISF apologises to actor Sudha Chandran

New Delhi, Oct 22 (Agency) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Friday issued an apology to bollywood actor and well known classical dancer Sudha Chandran who was stopped at the airport for her prosthetic leg and was asked to remove the prosthetics. Sudha Chandran posted a video of social media sites and said that it was a very painful experience for her and she felt very badly hurt by the whole incident.

CISF, tweeted and apologized to Ms Chandran, and said, “We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to Ms Sudha Chandran. As per protocol, prosthetics are to be removed for security checks only under exceptional circumstances.” In its second tweet it said, “We will examine why the lady personnel concerned requested Ms Sudha Chandran to remove the prosthetics. We assure Ms Chandran that all our personnel will be sensitized again on the protocols so that no inconvenience is caused to travelling passengers.”
