Sangli, Sep 9 (Agency) Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested a assistant police inspector attached to Miraj rural police of this district late night, for accepting Rs 25,000 as a bribe amount from the complainant for not to involve his relative in a criminal case. Arrested person identified as Samadhan Vasant Bile(42), a assistant police inspector attached to Miraj rural police in Miraj tehsil if this district. In a official press release, which released late at night, complainant met Mr Bile and requested him not to book a case against his relative in a criminal case, who demanded Rs 25,000 for it.
Later complainant informed this to ACB officials here, who laid a trap at Hira Hotel Chowk in Miraj town of this district late this night and nabbed Mr Bile red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant. ACB officials registered a bribe case against Mr Bile in Miraj rural police station.
