Ranchi, Sep 5 (Agency) Police has arrested a smuggler along with 348 bottles of illegal liquor from Mandu Police Station area of this district which he was planning to smuggle into Bihar. SDPO Ramgarh Kishore Kumar Razak that a tip off had been received regarding huge quantity of English liquor being smuggled in a car after which the Mandu Police launched a vehicle checking drive.
During the drive at Mandu Gate the car was apprehended and upon searching a total of 348 bottles of English liquor belonging to different brands was seized. The arrested has been identified as Hari Gope a resident of Debatand of Bokaro district. The SDPO said the cost of seized liquor is around Rs 3.50 lakh and the man was assigned the task to deliver the bottles at Bihar border.
