WEDO appoints Dr Sushi Singh as India Ambassador

New Delhi, May 27 (Agency) Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organisation (WEDO) has appointed Dr Sushi Singh as Ambassador for 2021 representing India (North). Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) will be celebrated globally on November 19, this year, and is the world’s largest grassroots movement and mission dedicated to celebrating, supporting and empowering women worldwide. The WED Ambassadors work globally to spread the WED grassroots mission and message to empower women and girls to become active participants in the economy by igniting a network of women leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion and advance communities around the world. Commenting on her nomination by Asia-head and selection by CEO, WEDO, Dr Singh said that she is humbled and honoured at the opportunity to serve as “India Ambassador” for WEDO which is an international platform for Women Cause.

“As a women I understand this responsibility more as I bring my reputation and decades long holistic learnings from my professional career that led me to inspire youth, women, young leaders and encourage start-ups, Non Profits CSR arms of big companies across Delhi, NCR, to develop innovation, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, leadership,” she averred. WED’s global agenda this year will focus on the impact of Artificial Intelligence, Fintech and Blockchain Technologies, the disruption happening globally, and the important, pivotal role women play.
