3 forest employees held in bribery case

Nashik, May 20 (Agency) Three forest department employees were arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, the ACB said here on Thursday. The complainant is a farmer of Wani village.The complainant had sought permission from the forest authorities to allow the pipeline to be diverted from a dug ditch in a forest area near Chinchkhed village near Wani to the farm. Meanwhile, forest officials and employees demanded Rs 1 lakh from him to allow the pipeline in a forest area near Chinchkhed village.

This led to a compromise between the complainant and the forest workers and a forest employee agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 50,000. The complainant went to the ACB office and lodged a complaint with the ACB office against forest employees. Accordingly, the team verified before the arbitrator and set a trap. The officials laid a trap at Wani forest office and arrested Anil Chandrabhan Dalvi (50, Ra-Vinchur Dalvi, Tal. Sinnar), Forest Ranger Usman Ganimalang Syed (49, resident of Forest Colony Wani) And Surekha Ashruba Khaje (resident of Sanskritinagar, Wani) while accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from farmer.
