PETEX India 2025, Hyderabad Kids Fair, and Kids Business Carnival conclude

Hyderabad, Feb 3 (Representative) The 7th Edition of PETEX India 2025, India’s largest pet expo, along with the 17th Hyderabad Kids Fair and the inaugural Kids Business Carnival, concluded at Hitex on Sunday, attracting over 30,000 visitors over three days.The event brought together pet lovers, parents, children, educationists, and skill development professionals.The expo featured exhibitors from various countries, including Turkey, the Czech Republic, Japan, Singapore, and Germany.Experts noted the rapid growth of the pet care industry, with rising pet adoptions, increasing pet care startups, and a booming demand for pet grooming services. The event also included India’s first investor meet focused on the pet industry, attended by angel investors such as Kuldeep Mirani (Beyond Seed), Rameswar Misra (Bigphi Technologies), Dr. Madhurita Gupta (Goa Angel Network), and Ramakrishna (Growel Feeds).

The International Cat Champion Show was one of the main attractions, featuring over 200 cats, including rare breeds like Mainecoon, priced between Rs 1.1-2 lakh, and British Shorthair, priced between Rs 80,000- Rs 1.5 lakh. Other highlights included the Show Jumping Competition on Horses by Children, a Fashion Show for Dogs, and Agility & Obedience Demonstrations by K9 School. Visitors also witnessed an 8-foot Rubik’s Cube artwork by Pixel Artist Abhishek Thekuru, created using 1,860 cubes and costing Rs 1 lakh. The Kids Business Carnival showcased 90 young entrepreneurs, featuring creative innovations such as a foldable, pocket-friendly mobile phone stand designed for Vande Bharat train passengers and motivational refrigerator magnets crafted by 10-year-old Charvik. Another major attraction was Barkitecture, a Hyderabad-based startup specializing in dog castles, villas, and pet furniture.

NASR Polo introduced children to horse riding and polo, emphasizing its benefits in developing strength, balance, and coordination. Meanwhile, Gigglemug organized Kids’ Runs in 1K, 2K, and 4K categories, with over 1,000 children aged 3-13 participating. The Adoptions for Hyderabad stall, run by a student-driven NGO, attracted a large crowd, highlighting 300-400 Indie dog adoptions annually and the support of 15 NGOs, including Blue Cross and Stray Animal Foundation India. The 17th Hyderabad Kids Fair, supported by Akshayakalpa Organic, featured over 60 exhibitors, focusing on children’s products, personality development, and career guidance. The grand success of this three-day event reaffirmed Hyderabad’s growing enthusiasm for pet care, entrepreneurship, and child development, setting a strong benchmark for future editions.
