Vijayawada, Jan 18 (Representative) Andhra Pradesh State Government will soon issue the guidelines for distribution of house-sites to the poor who do not have any kind of shelter both in rural and urban areas. The State Cabinet that met at the State Secretariat in Amaravati near here on Friday with the Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, in the chair, cleared the proposal to issue these guidelines under the flagship programme of ‘houses for all the poor, following which three cents of land will be distributed to the homeless in rural areas while two cents in urban areas. Those who earlier have not obtained any kind of home loans under the Housing Scheme are eligible for this.Briefing media persons on the decisions taken by the Cabinet, the Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mr Kolusu Parthasarathi, said that the Cabinet gave its nod for regularisation of houses built by the poor in the government lands who do not have any kind of legal tangles. To make the real-time governance at village and ward level, the Cabinet approved the proposal for rationalisation of functionaries at the secretariats. “Steps will be initiated to utilise the artificial functionaries against the backdrop of the State Government making available the technological services like drones, Artificial Intelligence and IOT.
The panchayat secretaries will be heading the village and ward secretariat staff members. Surplus staff members will be adjusted in various departments as per their eligibility,” he revealed. The Cabinet also focussed on free-hold lands, list of prohibitory lands as per the Registration Act-1908 as several people have expressed their opinion that attempts have been made to bring various lands under free-hold category. The main intention of the State Government is to see to it that no injustice is done to the poor with regard to their lands, the Minister mentioned. The TDP-led NDA Government is crediting the amount to the accounts of respective farmers within 24 hours, sometime even within seven hours, of purchasing the farm products, Mr Parthasarathi asserted. During this season 28,083,238 metric tonnes of farm products have been purchased from 4.6 lakh farmers and Rs 6,469 cr has been deposited into their accounts, he explained. The Cabinet cleared the proposal to set up 63 more Anna Canteens in the remaining 62 Assembly segments with an expenditure of Rs 61 lakh each. Till now 203 Anna Canteens have been opened in the State, Mr Parthasarathi acknowledged.
