The foundation of our country is also our Constitution and we will fight for the principles of the Constitution and will continue to fight for it”. However, he opted to remain an MP from the Gandhi family bastion of Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli, which had also elected him.Earlier in the day, Priyanka met Congress MPs in the presence of CPP Chairperson and her mother Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in a post on X said, “I am confident that Priyanka Gandhi will become a strong voice of the people of the country, especially women in Parliament. Her able leadership, compassion, courage, determination and firm commitment to the principles of the Constitution will benefit the people of the country”.
