Panaji, Nov 27 (Agency) As a segment of the 55th International film festival of India (IFFI) the IFFIESTA fashion show titled ‘Cine Fashion Over the Decades: Powered by Pillars of Humanity’ showcased a visually stunning homage to the evolution of the Indian cinema through the lens of fashion. The avant-garde event seamlessly blended the creative ingenuity of students from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) with the inclusive efforts of the Kamla Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust. Supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the show stood as a dynamic celebration of art, culture, and the rich legacy of Indian cinema.
The fashion show featured 36 meticulously crafted designs inspired by six pivotal eras of Indian cinema, each reflecting the distinct style and essence of its time. In a groundbreaking move, the event included specially-abled individuals walking the ramp alongside professional models, symbolising a powerful message of inclusivity and empowerment through fashion.
