New Delhi, Nov 23 (Representative) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the result of Maharashtra assembly election is the approval of the good governance model of the BJP and the rejection of ‘nepotism’ and ‘negative politics’. “Today, the forces of deception, divisive politics, and the family’s dynasty have been defeated. Today, Maharashtra has strengthened its resolve for a developed India” Modi said while addressing party workers at BJP headquarters here after a resounding victory in Maharashtra assembly polls. Targeting the Congress party, the Prime Minister said, “Congress has now become a parasitic party. It not only sinks its own boat but also that of its allies”. “Congress and its ecosystem had thought of lying in the name of the constitution and dividing SC/ST/OBC into smaller groups but Maharashtra has completely rejected this conspiracy of Congress and its allies… adding that it has said loudly if we are united, we are safe,” he said.
Taking pot shots on Congress, Modi said, “The Congress party’s sole focus is on the family, disregarding the welfare of the nation’s people….adding that a party that prioritises family over citizens poses a significant threat to democracy”. Applauding all BJP and NDA workers, the Prime Minister said, “This is the third time in a row that Maharashtra has blessed a coalition led by the BJP and made it victorious. He pointed out that the BJP has emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra and this is a stamp of approval on the governance model of the BJP”. Modi said the people of Maharashtra have given the BJP many more seats than the Congress and its allies combined. This shows that when it comes to good governance, the country trusts only the BJP and the NDA”. Attacking Rahul Gandhi indirectly, he said Today, Congress’s Urban Naxalism has become a new challenge for India. The remote control of these Urban Naxals is outside the country and hence everyone has to be very cautious about Urban Naxalism. The Prime Minister also praised Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar and lauded their efforts to make Mahayuti win big in Maharashtra Assembly elections.
“I congratulate and thank all the workers of NDA in Maharashtra. I would also like to express my appreciation for friend Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar,” Modi said. Earlier, BJP national president JP Nadda hailed the result of the Maharashtra Assembly polls and by-election held across various states as a testament to the public’s “unwavering confidence” in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and policies. “Today is a historic day. The people of Maharashtra and the byelection held in various states have shown that people have once again expressed their trust in the policies and development work of Modi,” Nadda said.
