Chennai, Nov 20 (Agency) Big time Basketball comes to Chennai after a very longtime, when this teeming megapolis will host the Men’s FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers (Window 2) from November 22 to 25. Hoopsters from 24 teams across Asia will vie for honours in this premier men’sbasketball championship to be held at the multipurpose Jawaharlal Nehru Indoorstadium. “Bringing this event to Chennai represents a significant leap forward in the growthand development of basketball in our region and highlights India’s commitment topromoting international sports”, Basketball Federation of India President AadhavArjuna and Secretary-General (Kulvinder Singh Gill), told reporters on Tuesday. The India Senior Men’s Basketball Team will go head-to-head against Qatar onNovember 22 and Kazakhstan on November 25.As part of their rigorous preparation, the national team has been training in Chennaisince June and recently completed two exposure trips to Dubai, where they playedagainst top-tier clubs, gaining valuable experience for these crucial matches.
